For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "The Promoters" refers to the thirteen (12) participating bookshops, they are:

Wairarapa Hospice Bookshop, Greytown

The "Prize" refers to NZD$1000.00 in vouchers, made up of a selection of vouchers from each Promoter store.

By entering the competition you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions.

This promotion runs on Saturday 12 October, 2024. To be eligible to win, your entry must be received by one of the Promoters during their store opening hours. Promoter store hours vary and are listed on this website. Store hours may change without notice.

The Promoters are no liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The Promoters take no responsibility for any entries which are lost, damaged, illegible, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

Make a purchase from a Promoter bookshop. Present your official Wairarapa Bookshop Hop Passport (available from any Promoter store), and collect a stamp from the Promoter with your purchase.

There is no minimum purchase amount and Promoters may, at their sole discretion, offer stamps without purchase or as part of their own in store promotion.

Each stamp gives you one (1) entry into the prize draw.

A maximum of one (1) stamp per Promoter, per entrant will be eligible for the draw.

Leave your collected stamps with any Promoter store along with your full name, email address, and contact phone number.

Two (2) winners will be selected at random by a representative of Destination Wairarapa on behalf of The Promoters on Monday, October 21st and the winners will be notified on or after this date.

The winner of the $500 voucher set will be selected from entrants who have visited six (6) or more Promoter stores. The $300 voucher set will be selected from the entire pool of entries, excluding the winner of the $500 voucher set.

Photo Competition

One (1) winner of a $200 voucher set will be selected from photos shared on Instagram and/or Facebook and using the hashtags #nzbookshopday AND #wairarapabookshophop

By entering the photo competition you give The Promoters the right to (re)post your image to our individual social media pages; and/or to use the image on the bookshopday.nz website for the express purpose of promoting the Wairarapa Bookshop Hop.

If any Winner fails to claim their prize within thirty (30) days of notification the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected.

The Prizes will be made up of a range of vouchers from participating Promoter stores. Not all prizes will include vouchers from every Promoter store.

Each Promoter will determine the expiration date for their store voucher. The expiration dates may differ.

The Prize is non-transferable and can not be exchanged for cash.

The winner’s name and social media username/s (if applicable) may be used by The Promoters after the winner has been selected.

Employees of The Promoters are eligible to enter.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond The Promoters' reasonable control, the Promoters reserve the right to cancel, modify or suspend the competition or any of these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.
